Here's How to Find Who You Can Help

Thank you for your desire to help others in need. We are excited to share with you an innovative approach that we are pioneering at Trusted Helping -- a match-making platform designed to foster genuine connections between those who wish to give and those in need of receiving assistance. This is a way for you to know exactly who your help is reaching and the impact it makes in their lives.

Here's how it works: As a giver, you have the opportunity to reach out to persons who are looking for assistance. You do this by using the Search process you find after you register. Once you find someone you wish to support, you can initiate a conversation with them directly. Our platform facilitates this by providing you with a safe and secure messaging system, helping ensure that you can make that important first connection smoothly.

The first step is to search the database of those who are requesting help. Each person you find will have a page with all the information you need. This includes their location plus references (like the references given when renting an apartment.) On that page, you will find their description of who they are and what they need, and why.

You communicate with them by using our own messaging system. This avoids the problems with spammers and scammers that can occur when using regular email. Since you are not using email, you will need to have something similar on the Trusted Helping messaging system. That will be the UserID that you setup for yourself. This UserID is how you will receive replies and other messages.

Once you have established your own UserID (by registering -- a one-time only process), you will login to be able to send messages and receive any replies. (Note: you can only receive messages from someone you have messaged.) Once you login, you will see the Search menu item appear. Actually, you only need to login once every few weeks as you will be recognized whenever you again come to Trusted Helping. Let's start by registering (and then you can use the Search menu item at the top of selected pages.)
